Sewer line repair covers the pipe that runs from your building out to the public sewer main. That pipe is the sewer lateral, and it belongs to the property owner. When it breaks, sags or fills with roots, waste backs up at the lowest drain in the house. We dig the line up with our own excavators and lay new pipe in the trench.

The lateral is the pipe between your building and the sewer main in the street. Older ones here are often clay tile or cast iron. Clay pipe comes apart at the joints, and roots follow the water in. Cast iron rusts thin from the inside and drops out in pieces.

Once the new pipe is in and the connection is inspected, we backfill in lifts and pack it down. Loose fill settles later and leaves a trough across the lawn. Topsoil goes back on and the ground gets raked level. If the trench crosses a wet spot, we can put in yard drainage while it is open.
